An Eco Friendly & Vegan Art Business

I’m very conscious of making sure my art business is as Eco friendly and Animal friendly as possible (vegan friendly).

I buy all of my packaging supplies from a company called Eco Craft Supplies. My tissue paper is recycled tissue paper, the grey board that backs my work is recycled. I use natural and biodegradable jute twine to wrap my work. The ‘plastic’ sleeves my art prints and cards come in is actually made from biodegradable corn starch. I use plain brown card presentation boxes, and also plain brown card mailing boxes.

The ink cartridges and paper I use to print my work onto contains no animal products (such as gelatine as a paper binder , or bone in the dark coloured inks). Thank you Epson! I also recycle the ink cartridges.

I use Fabriano Artistico papers and Faber Castell pencils that contain no animal products. I use some Caran D’ache pencils but not the ones that contain animal products.

My business cards are also made from recycled card stock. All of my packaging and supporting materials can be recycled easily, and a lot of it can be popped in your compost heap.

My home ( I work from home) also runs partly off solar panels, so I use green energy for a lot of my energy needs :)

I can still improve to make my business even more Eco friendly and aim to do so. Watch this space!
